The Card Club at Holy Family sends 55-60 cards monthly to shut ins living in their homes or nursing homes (Samaritan Keep, Summit Village and The Lodge at Ives Hill) who are parishioners of Holy Family. We meet the first or second Tuesday in the month in the McGivney Room at Holy Family Church. The cards are usually handmade and sometimes include an insert such as a prayer card or photo. Our goal is to send a handwritten note to let them know that someone cares and is praying for them. It is a message of hope no matter what they are going through. Our list is ever-changing and is updated monthly. Please feel free to add to our list by contacting us if you know of a parishioner that would benefit from a monthly message from our Club. Also feel free to join us if you are available to write out cards with us. Contact Jackie at [email protected]
St. Patrick's/St. Anthony's sends cards on specific Holy Days and holidays to shut-ins and nursing home residents from those communities. If you know of someone who should be receiving a Communion call but is not, call the Pastoral Center office at 315-782-1190 or email [email protected]
